Department of Computer Science & Applications

The department of Computer Science & Applications was started in the year of 2010. The department is equipped with fully qualified and experienced faculty members. It has state-of-the art laboratories, Internet and other required modern facilities. The department aims at producing students with good academic record and sufficient soft skills to enhance their employability. Over the years, the department has produced highly qualified and efficient computer professionals.

There are 16 teaching and 1 non-teaching staff members in or department. Among the teaching faculties 2 members are guiding M.Phil and P.hD scholars, 6 members are guiding M.Phil scholars and 3 members are doing P.hD Programme. Our department offers undergraduate, post graduate, M.Phil and P.hD programmes.Our department produce two P.hd . Our department produced 18 University ranks and 3 Gold medals in Under graduate, post graduate, M.Phil programme. The department staff members have contributed many research papers both national and international journals.

Eligibility

BACHELOR OF COMPUTER APPLICATIONS(BCA)

A candidate who has passed in Higher Secondary Examination with Mathematics or Business Mathematics or Computer Science or Statistics or Computer Applications (Academic stream or Vocational stream) as one of the subject under Higher Secondary Board of Examination, Tamilnadu as per norms set by the Government of Tamilnadu.

B.Sc. COMPUTER SCIENCE

A candidate who has passed in Higher Secondary Examination with Mathematics or Business Mathematics or Computer Science or Statistics or Computer Applications (Academic stream or Vocational stream) as one of the subject under Higher Secondary Board of Examination, Tamilnadu as per norms set by the Government of Tamilnadu.

M.Sc COMPUTER SCIENCE

A candidate who has passed in B.Sc. Computer Science / B.C.A / B.Sc. Computer Technology / B.Sc. Information Science / B.Sc. Information Technology degree of this University or from any other University.
